First Outing

I labelled this first outing, as it's the first time my girl and I have been out on a walk in a form like this. Historically, I've generally not taken bird forms for anything other than transport, apart from one stage in which I was a crow for a little while. So for me, the form was quite new, quite unique.

I must admit, I didn't quite like it at first. Neither of us ever wanted a bird form, we just had a preference for non-winged forms. In saying that, however, it generally doesn't take us long to grow an affection for a form if I take it consistently enough. So, albeit a little grudgingly on my part, I've been getting used to it over the past day or two. Though it was really nice once we were out on a walk. We have a route close by that takes us down by the river in a place that, although close to houses, is grown in such a way that you can't see them, it's easy to forget they're there.

It allowed me to stretch my wings in this form for the first time, and I must admit it was very enjoyable. We tested the 'limits' so to speak, of the bond and I particularly love when we're up on a bridge, to fly over the river, it lets me get more altitude than I might otherwise get. I also enjoyed the general vibe of this form, particularly when we were down by the river, we walked down to a seating area when we looked back and saw a guy standing down the path. We knew he just wanted to get down to the river and was waiting for us to leave, however, my girl is small and we were very aware that we now had our back to a river, with no way back but to walk past him. Though she was sure he had no ill intent (and he didn't), I still liked the fact that I was able to stare him down as we walked past.

Nonetheless. We're getting used to the form, I think I'll warm up to it more as we get a chance to go out and test it. Will update as needed.
